Matting comes on the roll, and it has to be cut to fit the room. This set is the tool for that job: a utility board that guides the cut, and a safety knife to make it.
The board is set up for 45-degree angles, so corners, doorways and transitions come out clean and square instead of ragged — which matters, because a badly cut edge is the edge that lifts.
Replacement knives are sold separately in packs of ten.
